We are looking for an experienced sales manager or business consultant to help grow Trading Central’s business within mainland China. 

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate is a professional with 3-5 years of experience within the financial industry and successful sales track record, as well as:

  • A university degree
  • Native Mandarin speaker, good or excellent proficiency in English
  • 3-5 years’ experience with equity broker, bank or financial services vendor, such as newswires, market data and independent research

We are seeking a talented Product Manager (Full-time, intermediate level) to join our global team. In this role you will be responsible for a segment of the Global product suite of online research and insights tools. The company has an aggressive roadmap for new product development and requires an experienced and energetic person to coordinate and lead the definition of the products and to ensure delivery on time, scope and budget. Our products are software-based deployed in a SaaS model utilizing agile practices and we are looking for an individual with relevant experience.

You will be based out of our Ottawa, Canada office, providing Product Management expertise to the global team, reporting to the Vice President of Global Product Strategy.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience defining product requirements for software products
  • Experience working with Agile methodology strongly preferred, SCRUM experience ideal
  • Strong analytical capability including ability to work with quantitative analytics
  • An affinity for Investing or Stock Trading
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to accomplish project goals
  • Must be capable of managing multiple stakeholders on the best course of action for the product

Primary Responsibilities: 

Market

    • Understand market place and where Trading Central competes
    • Draft key message documents for sales
    • Know the competitors and what they offer
    • Operate Advisory boards
    • Identify Market Trends and Problems that we might address
    • Be an expert with respect to the competition by analyzing, categorizing and ranking competitors

Strategy

    • Identify and maintain a Distinctive Competence
    • Create and get buy-in on the 3 year product strategy that closely aligns to the company strategy and mission
    • Create concepts for new products including market opportunity assessment and visual designs/tours to advance early concept testing and sales
    • Drive decision making processes for next priorities, including business cases where applicable
    • Participate in strategic technology and vendor assessment with Development
    • High-level strategy and KPIs for analysis content and quality i.e. technicals, fundamentals, quant, etc.
    • Be a member of the team responsible for product direction and management for Trading Central’s products

Execution

    • Continuously update processes – Product
    • Deliver PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
    • Create user/beta testing approaches and lead execution – Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products
    • Story writing and sprint management for the teams working on your products
    • Create and manage estimates for new product development
    • Drive continuous enhancement of quantitative and technical analytics

Business

    • Sales Support – support the envisioning team and sales as required
