There is no doubt that the U.S. Federal Reserve’s interest-rate decision on Wednesday (December 18) will be the market’s focus next week. 

According to CME Group’s “FedWatch” tool, the chance of the Fed cutting rates by 25 basis points as seen by traders has risen to 96%.

Also, according to Trading Central's "Economic Insight", the key interest rate being cut to 4.50% from 4.75% is likely.

In the past 8 Fed’s rate decisions, within one hour from the event, EUR/USD rose in 63% of times (5 out of 8 events), marking a trading range of 49.48 pips on average.
